Penny Smith-Orr has been an RE consultant for 17 years.

On these pages are some of the resources that will help with teaching RE.
I can also advise you on Collective Worship.
In maintained schools you should be using your locally Agreed syllabus, in Academies you can use the locally Agreed syllabus or one that you choose. All pupils must, by law, be taught religious education from the time they are registered in school until they leave.
In Croydon, Sutton, Merton and Southwark there are termly RE Coordinator network meetings for you to get ideas and meet up with other RE Coordinators.
I am also the chair of Faiths Together in Croydon
and have good contact with the leaders of the many faith communities in Croydon.
If you would like to visit a place of worship I can help with contacts.
FTiC exists to bring together the faith communities and help inform them of issues that are important to the citizens of Croydon.
Our next event is on the topic of Respect on may 24th at St Mary's High school.
